About Watford

With its location amid the stunning Chiltern Hills, coupled with busy retail opportunities and a bustling nightlife, Watford has much to offer the visitor in the way of entertainment.

Home to the Harlequin shopping centre, not to mention the town's vibrant high street with its eclectic range of boutiques and independent shops, Watford is a magnet for local shoppers. The parkland surrounding Cassiobury House on the outskirts of town has won a Green Flag Award in recent times in recognition of their stunning landscaping and variety of interesting plant species. The beautiful scenery, coupled with a well-equipped children's play area, help to provide a perfect day out for all the family.

Film buffs and music fans alike will be interested in The Watford Colosseum, an impressive theatre complex that has been used to record the orchestral soundtracks for some of the most successful films of recent times, including the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars trilogies.
